Where do you get a good fuel cell education these days? Apparently, at Howard Universitys College of Engineering in Washington, DC. Here, Shell Hydrogen is partnering with the university to establish the Shell Hydrogen Scholars Program, which will provide financial aid to undergraduate students in the engineering program and also help fund student research in hydrogen fuel cell projects. The aim: To train researchers and engineers in hydrogen fuel cell technology for vehicles of the future. Howard University has some 9,000 undergraduates and 1,200 graduate and professional students in 12 colleges and schools. For the 2003-2004 academic year, Howard topped the nation's schools in the number of National Achievement Scholars, enrolling 71 students.
